How much does Membership cost?

Costs vary between Groups due to different running costs. Annual membership fees are usually spread out to make it easier for families and charged monthly, quarterly or termly. Most groups use direct debits through a system called Online Scout Manager to collect the subscription fee. In Mersey Weaver, you can expect to pay up to £180 per year which works out as little as £3.46 a week! However, if you’re concerned about the cost, please do speak to a leader in confidence; there may be assistance available.

In Mersey Weaver, where groups/units are unable to help, it is our policy that no young person should be denied access to Scouting due to financial hardship. A special hardship fund has been established to provide financial support when it is needed.
