Getting Started

After installing the Skills for Life Theme, there's a few things you need to do to get the theme setup ready before it will look like our homepage. 

  1. Setup your site's Homepage
  2. Use the Wordpress customiser to set:
    • Skills for Life Theme Options
      • Charity Number
      • Address
      • Telephone
      • Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/LinkedIn/YouTube/Pintrest URL
      • Customiser the homepage content
    • Site Identity
    • Menus
      • Apply CSS classes to menu items
      • Add descriptions to menu items
    • Widgets
    • Optionally set a Site Wide Notice / change any colours
  3. Apply the correct Page Template to different pages on the site
  4. Add website content using the block editor
