What if I don't want a place at the Group/Unit that is offered to me?

Once an offer has been made by a Group/Unit you have the option to accept or decline. We try our best to accommodate the Young Person into their preferred group however this is not always possible and as such we ask you to supply at least three local Groups/Units in your area when you register your interest. If you decline an offer and do not wish to join a different group, then please let the Group/Unit who offered you the place know, and we can reflect this in the Joining List. We aim to get Young People into Scouting as soon as possible and rejecting an offer may delay this process as there is no guarantee when a place may become available at your preferred group.

If you need further assistance or have a question, then you can reach us on the website site chat function in the bottom right of your screen or submit a ticket.
